HPC corridor for trucks developing in California
The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and Calstart have received $13 million from the California Energy Commission (CEC) to “jump-start” a high-power charging (HPC) corridor for medium- and heavy-duty electric trucks in California.
Janus Electric & Li-S Energy collaborate on batteries
In Australia, battery developer Li-S Energy has signed a collaboration agreement with electric truck developer Janus Electric to power around 400 electric trucks. The agreement will see Li-S Energy develop and test lithium sulphur and lithium metal battery cells to suit the requirements of the Janus Electric exchangeable prime mover battery packs.
Geely’s Homtruck electric semi-trailer revealed
The Geely subsidiary Farizon Auto has just presented an electric semi-trailer truck called Homtruck with an architecture that can carry different zero-emission powertrain options. Production start and first deliveries are planned for early 2024.
Daimler delivers first Fuso eCanter to UK customers
Daimler Trucks has now delivered the first fully-electric Fuso eCanter to customers in the United Kingdom. The courier service DPD, the logistics company Wincanton and the bakery supplier Hovis were the first to receive some of the total of 9 trucks for their fleets.
