ElringKlinger develops batteries for Piëch GT sports EV

ElringKlinger has announced it secured a contract with Piëch Engineering to supply battery prototypes for the all-electric high-end sports car GT planned by the Swiss-German manufacturer. The deal is worth a few million euros with ElringKlinger going to work as you read.

Aspark begins serial production of the ‘Owl’

The Japanese conglomerate Aspark has started production of a small series of 50 examples of the Owl sports car. The car is expected to go from 0 to 100 kph in under two seconds. The model, which is available for a price of three million euros each, is probably not yet sold out.

Hyundai is cooking a supercar – possibly hybrid

Hyundai wants to build a high performance sports car that will be electrified strongly, if not fully. Speaking at the CES in Vegas, executives placed the new model under the luxury label Genesis, which is to become increasingly electric from 2019.
