Ford MEB model Explorer costs less than €45,000
Ford has unveiled a new mid-size electric SUV called Explorer. The BEV will be built in Cologne and is supposed to be nothing less than the first of a “new wave of bold, iconic electric vehicles …steeped in Ford’s American roots and designed for Europe.” The Explorer’s electric drive is not made by Ford.

Ford to triple Mustang Mach-E production capacities
Ford has announced a significant increase in production for its all-electric Mustang Mach-E. By 2023, Ford wants to achieve an annual output of more than 200,000 units of the electric car. That would be three times as many as were produced in 2021.

Ford boosts e-mobility investments by $8 billion
Ford announced in an online presentation for investors that it is increasing its investment in electric mobility to more than 30 billion US dollars by 2025. This is eight billion dollars more than previously planned. The US carmaker also mentioned further product plans.

Ford is banking on hybrids at the IAA

Ford announces new plans for American market
Ford has released their new plans for the future direction in the North American market: five new hybrid SUVs and one electric SUV are included in the 8 announced vehicles. The first fully battery electric Ford is expected in 2020.
