Mercedes & Stellantis invest in Factorial Energy

Mercedes-Benz and Stellantis have taken a stake in Factorial Energy, a US developer of solid-state battery cells. In addition to their financial participation, both carmakers have also agreed on development cooperations with Factorial Energy. Mercedes wants to launch a small series of batteries by the end of 2026.

Hyundai & Kia launch collaboration with Factorial Energy

Factorial Energy, a US developer of solid-state battery cells, has announced a collaboration with Hyundai and Kia. The Korean carmaker will test Factorial’s solid-state batteries in its electric cars under a development agreement and make a strategic investment in Factorial.

Factorial Energy makes progress on solid state batteries

Factorial Energy, an American developer of solid-state cells that first unveiled its plans in April, has just reported on the initial results from its test runs. According to the report, it has succeeded in achieving a capacity retention rate of 97.3% after 675 cycles for a 40 Ah cell at 25 degrees Celsius.
