Yorkshire-based company Econ Engineering has launched a new electric gritter truck. The company says the truck can be operated year-round thanks to a range of demountable body options, which allow it to switch between fleet roles.

Rosenbauer presents electric rescue vehicle lineup
The Austrian fire brigade supplier Rosenbauer presented a complete range of electric emergency vehicles at the Interschutz trade fair. This includes the AT Electric based on an EV chassis from Volvo Trucks, but also an airport fire engine with an electrified Rosenbauer chassis and a turntable ladder.

DHL orders more electric trucks from Volvo
Deutsche Post DHL has announced that it will procure 44 new electric trucks from Volvo for its European operations. Both companies have signed a cooperation agreement “to accelerate the transition to zero-emission commercial vehicles”.

Volvo Trucks opens books for full range of heavy electric trucks
Volvo Trucks has now officially opened the ordering system for its range of heavy electric trucks, the FH, FM and FMX. Until now, Volvo Trucks had mainly offered customers and partners to sign letters of intent to buy, but now the manufacturer is starting to take firm orders.

Norway Post goes for 32 Volvo e-trucks
The Norwegian Postal Service has ordered 29 electric trucks from Volvo Trucks. This is the largest order ever for Volvo Trucks from Norway and one of the largest in Europe.

Ferronordic orders 32 electric trucks
Ferronordic, a service and distribution company in the construction equipment and truck sectors, has placed its first order for electric trucks in Germany. The order includes 21 Renault Trucks D Z.E and D Wide Z.E and eleven Volvo FL and Volvo FE Electric, making a total of 32 all-electric trucks.

Volvo FL and Volvo FE electric trucks start sales in Europe
Volvo Trucks have just announced the start of sales for their Volvo FL and Volvo FE electric trucks in selected European markets, namely Sweden, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands. Serial production is planned for March 2020.

Volvo delivers first fully electric trucks in Europe
Volvo Trucks has started delivering its first all-electric trucks. These include a garbage truck for the waste and recycling company Renova in Hamburg, Germany and a distribution truck for the Swedish Schenker service provider TGM.

Volvo presents its 2nd electric truck – FE Electric
After just having launched their first electric truck ever, Volvo Trucks presents the FE Electric. Their second model is designed for heavier city distribution and to serve as refuse truck with gross weights of up to 27t. Sales will kick-off in Europe next year.
