Renault Trucks to add two electric trucks to lineup by 2023
Renault Trucks is expanding its electric portfolio and has announced the market launch of two new 44-tonner models for the first quarter of 2023: the Renault Trucks T E-Tech for long-distance transport and the Renault Trucks C E-Tech for construction site transport. Plans are also underway for another freight-carrying electric truck.

Electric truck initiatives take off in Europe & the USA
18 European companies and organisations have formed a coalition, the European Clean Trucking Alliance (ECTA), to call for the decarbonisation of road freight transport in the EU. A similar initiative is forming in the USA – driven by several states.

French cargo specialist Geodis expands its electric fleet
Geodis, the street cargo unit of French railway company SNCF, is going to expand its electric vehicle fleet from currently a dozen to 50 cars by June 2018. With this step, Geodis responds to plans published by the Paris city council to ban diesel-powered vehicles by 2020.
