Blink Charging has launched seven new products at the CES in Las Vegas, moving deeper into the smart charging and commercial space. The charging solutions cover home, fleet, and retail charging as well as vehicle-to-grid technology. There’s also two new apps for private and commercial users of Blink products.
Enel X expands in Canada’s EV home charging market
Enel X has announced its expansion in the Canadian market as the company and agency partner Catalyst Sales and Marketing say they will expand EV charging solutions for multi-unit dwellings with Killam Apartment REIT, one of Canada’s largest multi-residential landlords.
SemaConnect launches its first home charging station
Charging infrastructure provider SemaConnect, usually in the B2B area, presents its first consumer product, the Series 4 EV Home Charger. The company has opened the order books for the Level 2 charging station and expects shipping to start in December.
Tesla presents plug-in home charger
Tesla presents a new home charging solution that just plugs into a regular wall socket, given it is a high-voltage NEMA 14-50 connection so common in the USA. Thus it is the first Tesla charging solution that does not require hard-wiring.
Volvo and Vattenfall team up for EV home charging
Volvo and the utility Vattenfall have launched a joint offer for electric car charging in Sweden. All customers that have opted for a Volvo PHEV and have a house in Sweden may order the ‘InCharge Smart Home’ directly via the ‘Min Volvo’ website.
EU agrees rules to make buildings EV ready
The EU Parliament has had its final vote on the energy performance of buildings including the installation of EV charging infrastructure. The rules differ from the EU Commission’s initial proposal as it asks for less charging opportunities.
