VW reveals plans for another EV priced below the ID.2
According to a German media report, the all-electric VW ID.2 will start at less than €25,000 when it launches in 2025. And the carmaker allegedly has plans for an even cheaper EV, currently referred to as the ID.1, which could launch in 2027 and start at less than €20,000.

Audi to manufacture MEB electric drives in Hungary
Audi will produce a new electric drive family for the MEB ECO platform for use in the Volkswagen Group’s electric small cars at its plant in Györ, Hungary, from 2025. A new production area is being built specifically for this purpose.

VW to build the e-Up until 2025 – ID.2 to follow
Volkswagen plans to continue building the e-Up until the end of 2025, as Hildegard Wortmann, Member of the Board of Management for Sales, has now announced. The production version of the ID. Life concept, which is now referred to as the ID.2, will then take over seamlessly.

Volkswagen ID.1 possibly delayed until 2025
VW’s planned small electric car for under 20,000 euros will be launched two years later than previously thought, according to a new report. The presumed designation for the car is the ID.1 and is set to replace the VW e-Up.

VW’s small, low-cost electric car ID.1 to come in 2023
Rumours of a new small, low-cost electric car from Volkswagen have been persistent. According to a British media report, the model, presumably called ID.1, will replace the VW e-Up starting in 2023 and will be about the same size.
