Mercedes has decided on drive production system
On the way to a purely electric vehicle range by the end of the decade, Mercedes-Benz has now made important decisions for drive production. This means that it has been decided in which plants the drive units and battery systems will be assembled.

Mercedes-Benz Vans to build EV plant in Poland
Mercedes-Benz Vans has announced its intention to build the world’s first purely electric plant in Jawor, Poland. In future, the large vans will be produced here as a closed model (panel van) on the basis of the new electric platform VAN.EA (Van Electric Architecture). However, the contracts have not yet been signed.

Mercedes reveals production locations for EQ ramp up
Mercedes-Benz is now providing a comprehensive overview of the production sites for its electric offensive for the EQ brand. Production of the EQA at the Rastatt plant in Germany among others has already started ahead of the model’s world premiere on 20 January 2021.

Mercedes-Benz to build battery assembly plant in Poland
As part of its upcoming electrification offensive, Mercedes-Benz is building a battery factory in the Polish town of Jawor, near Germany. This is to expand the Group’s global battery production network to nine factories at seven locations on three continents.
