The British company Connected Kerb has developed compact chargers for electric cars that can be mounted on curbs, traffic sign poles or boundary bollards at the roadside. The first kerb charging stations were recently installed in London for testing purposes.

The UK is installing a battery supported HPC charging network for electrified vehicles. The company Pivot Power and the National Grid are planning to connect 45 battery storage units with critical infrastructure junctions as part of a 1.6 billion pound project.

Almost 10 million pounds in funding have been earmarked by the British government for the country’s largest vehicle-to-grid project to date. 1,000 V2G charging points will be set up across the UK together with Nissan over the next three years.
