VW presents board of their battery unit

With the European Company (Société Européenne) founded last December, Volkswagen wants to bundle activities along the battery value chain. The group has now presented a six-member board of directors, headed by Frank Blome, which is to expand the battery business from Salzgitter. The operational business will start at the beginning of July.

Jaguar to use I-Pace batteries in 2nd Life project

Jaguar Land Rover has developed an emission-free energy storage system in collaboration with the energy company Pramac, using second-life batteries from the Jaguar I-Pace. This is to be used when access to the public electricity grid is limited or non-existent.
