Keolis orders 20 electric buses for use in Odense

The public transport operator Keolis will replace 20 of the 70 buses in the Danish city of Odense with electric buses. The electric buses manufactured by Yutong are to be delivered next spring and integrated into regular service.

63 Yutong electric buses for Mexico City

Mexico City has commissioned 63 battery trolleybuses from the Chinese manufacturer Yutong. 40 of the buses have already been delivered, the remaining 23 are scheduled to follow in December.

Fuel cell and battery-electric buses for Auckland

As Auckland Transport continues to accelerate the Low Emissions Bus Roadmap, the public transport provider has ordered two ‘extra-large’ electric buses from Chinese giants Yutong and six BYD electric buses, as well as the city’s first fuel cell bus that will – also a first – be made in New Zealand.

Electric buses are rolled out in Wales

Following electric bus trials in Cardiff that began in 2018, Newport is now going to become the first city in Wales to sport the country’s first electric bus. By April 2020 the city will receive another 14 electric buses.

BYD, ST and Yutong share Singapore electric bus order

Singapore has contracted three companies with an order for 60 electric buses to be delivered in 2019/ 2020. The contracts went to BYD, ST Engineering and Yutong-NARI. At the same time, Singapore Power announced their plan to build 1,000 charging points in the city-state.

Hydrogen buses coming to China’s Henan province

The city of Zhengzhou in China is testing 20 hydrogen buses made by Yutong. The first two have taken to the roads already, now serving on route 727. Another 18 fuel cell buses will follow as part of a commercial demo operation.

Flixbus launches first long-distance electric bus route in France

Munich-based bus operator Flixbus has entered the electric age in France yesterday, as it launched two electric buses that will go the long distance. The coach service runs between Paris and the city of Amiens and electrive.com was live at the launch event in Paris, just at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

German Flixbus to use Yutong E-buses

The long distance bus operator Flixbus is planning to introduce its first electric bus line in France. On the road between Paris and Amiens the company wants to use two electric buses as of April, which will be made by Chinese Yutong.
