Hyzon to deliver 18 FC trucks to Hylane

Hyzon Motors will deliver 18 fuel cell trucks to the new German company Hylane. The US manufacturer has received an order from the subsidiary of DEVK Versicherung, which specialises in vehicle rental.

Delivery of the vehicles is expected to begin at the end of 2022, Hyzon says. Fleet owners will then be able to use them in their operations via a rental contract as part of Hylane’s mobility model.

“Hyzon’s singular mission is to decarbonize transport through zero-emission, hydrogen-powered vehicles,” explains Craig Knight, CEO and co-founder of Hyzon. “Through Hylane’s sustainable mobility program, customers across Germany can experience first-hand the vehicle performance, driver satisfaction, and emissions reductions of Hyzon’s fuel cell electric trucks.”

Just a few months ago, Hyzon Motors opened a European production facility in the Netherlands that is to serve as the company’s hub for sales. Up to 1,000 trucks are expected to roll off the production line there this year, according a Hyzon statement in December 2021. The company delivered its first fuel cell trucks to European customers in August 2021.
