Voi, Tier and Bolt win electric scooter tender in Oslo

The sharing providers Voi, Tier and Bolt have won a tender from the Norwegian capital Oslo to provide electric scooters. The three providers are each allowed to place 2,667 electric scooters in the city for a period of one year.

The background to the tender and the precisely prescribed maximum number of vehicles is a decision from last year: Oslo had reduced the number of electric scooters from almost 25,000 to 8,000 in September 2021.

Twelve companies participated in the tender. However, only Voi from Sweden, Tier Mobility from Germany and Bolt from Estonia received a concession. The permit covers the period from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023.
