MG Motor launches on the Finnish market

The SAIC brand MG Motor is expanding its distribution of electric and hybrid cars in Europe to Finland. The Hedin Mobility Group, which has already been organising sales for MG in Sweden since 2021, will serve as a partner for the Finnish market.

Finnish customers will be offered the entire range of electric and hybrid vehicles from MG, including the BEV models MG4 Electric, MG5 Electric, MG ZS EV and MG Marvel R Electric as well as the PHEV model MG EHS. Models such as the MG4, which recently went into production in Thailand, will have to be imported for some time until production in Europe is ramped up. For the moment, not even the location of the factory is secure.

The sales and service network in Finland will initially consist of 13 Hedin branches. Sales and the first customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2024.

“Having tested the Finnish market with limited sales of MG in the second half of 2023, we know that there is a lot of interest in the brand in Finland,” explained Anders Hedin, founder and CEO of the Heding Mobility Group, adding: “We are delighted to expand our partnership with MG Motor Europe and enable more Finnish customers to experience emission-free mobility through MG’s range of innovative and safe products.”

MG Motor is not the only company that Hedin Mobility has signed a distribution agreement with, as the Hedin Group is also working with Lotus, Hongqi and BYD for European markets.
