Iveco receives two orders for H2 buses from France

Iveco Bus will deliver ten units of its H2 city bus to the Urban Community of Dunkirk, and another three units to Grand Annecy Agglomeration. All buses will be delivered by 2026.

The hydrogen buses are the twelve-metre-long model with the bulky name Heuliez GX 337 H2 Linium. They have room for up to 110 passengers each and feature a ‘100 kW Hyundai fuel cell with a 69 kWh FPT Industrial battery pack.’ As the batteries can be charged externally using CCS, it lowers the consumption of hydrogen.

The model, first presented in 2023, is also equipped with a 310 kW electric motor, while four hydrogen tanks with a total capacity of 31 kg H2 are mounted on the roof. Iveco specifies a range of up to 450 kilometres.

The Iveco press release is rather short and only announces the number of units ordered and that deliveries will be staggered and completed by 2026. It also specifies that the model is listed in France’s first public purchasing centre, the UGAP.

Giorgio Zino, Head of IVECO BUS Europe Commercial Operations, stated: “We are extremely proud that the Urban Community of Dunkirk and Grand Annecy Agglomeration have renewed their trust by adopting our hydrogen buses. These new orders, via UGAP, highlight our ability to support our customers in their transition to zero emissions.”
