Iveco founded GATE (Green & Advanced Transport Ecosystem) in 2023 to offer a pay-per-use long-term rental model for its battery-electric van, the eDaily. This year, financial services provider DLL joined as a second shareholder to accelerate the company’s expansion.

This expansion now includes an expanded product portfolio. While only the eDaily was previously available as a chassis and van, three new models have now been added. From today, the eSuperJolly, an electric van in the 3.5- to 4.25-tonne class introduced in June, and the battery-electric tractor unit S-eWay are available for order through GATE’s pay-per-use model via the Iveco dealer network in Germany, France, and Italy. Additionally, the new compact electric van eJolly is set to join the lineup in the first half of 2026.

GATE’s pay-per-use model is based on a kilometre forecast agreed with the customer, which is used for billing. The pricing formula combines a fixed monthly base fee with a variable component based on the actual kilometres driven. GATE’s solutions include vehicle registration and taxes, maintenance and repairs, tyre services, insurance, and optional service packages tailored to every operational requirement. Furthermore, GATE provides digital services that allow customers to monitor energy consumption, vehicle status, remaining range, charging planning, and overall fleet productivity.

“The expansion of our offering marks a new phase in GATE’s growth,” says Elio Fonti, CEO of GATE. “With today’s opening of orders and the launch of the long-term rental offer for the Iveco eSuperJolly and the Iveco S-eWay tractor unit, we are providing our customers with 100% electric solutions that meet every professional need—from light to heavy transport. Our goal remains unchanged: to support businesses on their journey towards more sustainable, simpler, and worry-free mobility.”

While the battery-electric tractor unit S-eWay has been on the market since 2023, the eSuper Jolly and eJolly are two new electric van models with which Iveco aims to expand its range of light electric commercial vehicles in the coming year. They were developed in collaboration with Stellantis Pro One. The eSuper Jolly is closely related to the Fiat Ducato, while the smaller eJolly is based on the Opel Vivaro or Peugeot Expert.

Update 11 June 2026

GATE has added the new Iveco eJolly to its pay-per-use rental programme, expanding its offering of battery-electric light commercial vehicles in Italy, France and Germany. The move completes the company’s electric van portfolio and supports its strategy of lowering barriers to fleet electrification through flexible rental models.

The eJolly is designed for urban logistics and service applications. Available with a gross vehicle weight of between 2.8 and 3.2 tonnes. The electric van features a 100 kW motor and a 75 kWh battery, enabling a range of up to 351 kilometres. According to GATE, fast charging can add up to 100 kilometres of range in around 10 to 15 minutes. The vehicle offers a payload of more than one tonne and a cargo volume of up to 6.6 cubic metres.

The rental package combines a fixed monthly fee with a variable charge based on kilometres driven. It includes registration, maintenance, repairs, insurance, tyres, roadside assistance and IVECO ON telematics services. Customers can also add charging, data and fleet management services, as well as charging infrastructure solutions.
