BMW aims for electric car production plans of 20%

BMW is aiming to build “a quarter of a million more electric cars than originally planned” between 2021 and 2023. The automaker wants to more than double the share of electrified vehicles in its sales from around eight per cent this year to around 20 per cent in 2023.

VW’s ID.4 launch set to replace the e-Golf

Sales of the VW ID.4 are scheduled to start in Germany and several other European countries in the first week of January, as the union representative, the head of the works council Bernd Osterloh announced. Xpeng launches delivery of G3 electric SUV in Norway

Chinese manufacturer Xpeng has started delivering its electric cars to customers in Norway. One hundred units of the Xpeng G3 electric SUV are currently being handed over to their new owners in 28 Norwegian cities. Prices start at 358,000 kroner, the equivalent of around 33,700 euros.

Poland’s first electric car plant will be built in the town of Jaworzno in the south of the country. The groundbreaking ceremony for the factory is scheduled for next year, with production starting in 2024. In July, ElectroMobility Poland (EMP) presented two electric car prototypes to be produced.

Tesla has started production of the Model Y in Shanghai. A drone video shows around 40 units of the Model Y in a parking lot of the plant. Elon Musk indirectly confirmed the start of production on Twitter and wrote that he plans to travel to Shanghai in January, possibly for delivery launch.
