Low-cost EV financing for Uber drivers through Moove
Moove, an African-born fintech start-up, has struck a deal with Uber in London. Moove will provide Uber drivers with electric vehicles through its latest rent-to-buy model. Moove aims to be the largest EV partner on Uber’s platform in London, with plans to scale to 10,000 cars by the end of 2025.

BHP mining truck fleet in Chile to be electric by 2023
Mining group BHP and construction equipment manufacturer Caterpillar have signed an agreement to electrify BHP’s entire truck fleet at the Escondida copper mine in Chile. The first Caterpillar 798 AC electric dump trucks are to be delivered in the second half of 2023.

BYD to deliver electric school buses to AVSTA, California

First look: The new e-buses for Berlin are arriving at BVG
Berlin’s public transport operator BVG has released information on the incoming new e-buses. The first of 89 Ebusco 2.2 electric buses will join the Berlin fleet this year. Once these arrive in the German capital, the BVG fleet will include 228 electric buses in active service.

Jakarta to convert 3000 diesel buses to electric
The Indonesian public transport operator Transjakarta has started a project to convert existing diesel buses to electric drive. For this purpose, the bus operator in the Indonesian capital Jakarta has signed an agreement with VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas and Equipmake. Initially, a number of buses will be converted as prototypes to be tested by Transjakarta.

Bratislava opts for Solaris hydrogen buses
