Four hydrogen buses are heading to Venice
Four hydrogen buses are to be used in Venice and the surrounding area from mid-2023. The transport companies AVM Venezia and ACTV SPA Venezia, which are responsible for public transport in Venice and the municipalities of Venice and Chioggia, have ordered four Urbino 12 hydrogens from Solaris.
Solaris signs new agreement for buses in Austria
Solaris has signed another framework agreement with the Austrian transport authority, Österreichische Postbus AG. This covers battery-electric and hydrogen-electric buses that the Austrian bus operator intends to procure between 2022 and 2025.

Polish Ministry of Climate launches e-bus support schemes
The Polish Ministry of Climate Change announced a few weeks ago that it intends to promote the purchase of electric buses with two programmes with a total volume of 90 million euros. Barcelona releases tender for 8 hydrogen buses
Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) is also relying on hydrogen as part of the conversion of its bus fleet. After TMB ordered a total of 23 articulated battery-electric buses from Solaris and Irizar in February, a tender for the purchase of the first fuel cell buses has now been launched.
Transit operator RVK turns to fuel cell buses
In Germany, Cologne-region public transport operator Regionalverkehr Köln (RVK) has increased its fuel cell bus fleet with hydrogen buses from Solaris. From 2021, 15 Solaris hydrogen fuel cell buses will be successively integrated into RVK’s fleet.
Solaris presents new fuel cell bus Urbino 12 hydrogen
At the UITP Global Public Transport Summit 2019 in Stockholm, Solaris unveiled two new zero-emission buses. The battery-powered Urbino 12 electric was given an updated design, while the Urbino 12 hydrogen, a fuel cell bus, adds a new drive option to the range.
Italy: Bolzano orders twelve Solaris FC buses
The Italian city of Bolzano was the first to purchase the Urbino 12 hydrogen H2 bus from Solaris. The fuel cell buses follow the battery-electric buses delivered last year. Solaris has also sold further battery-powered buses in Norway.
Solaris to debut Urbino 12 hydrogen bus in Sweden
Solaris announces the world premiere of its brand new fuel cell bus, the Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen, at the UITP Global Public Transport Summit in Stockholm this June. Solaris will also present a new look for the Urbino 12 electric at the show in Sweden.
