TÜV Süd invests $44 million in Michigan EV testing facility
The German standards testing company TÜV SÜD has announced that it will invest 44 million US dollars in an approximately 7,400 square meter test facility for electric vehicle batteries near Detroit in the US state of Michigan. This is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2023 and will create 40 jobs.
TÜV & ConAC to open test lab for EV batteries
The German certification service provider TÜV Rheinland and the Aachen-based start-up ConAC have announced a test laboratory for electric car drive batteries. The laboratory, which is to become one of the “largest and most modern independent battery test centres in Europe”, is scheduled to start operations in September 2021 in the German-Dutch industrial park Avantis.
TÜV SÜD opens new emission testing centre in Germany
After two years of construction and a total investment of more than 20 million euros, TÜV SÜD opened the new Centre for Mobility and Powertrains near Stuttgart today. Besides combustion engines, they also offer emission testing for hybrid and electric vehicles there.
DroidDrive presents last-mile delivery EV system
The Ducktrain is a new innovation from RWTH Aachen University. The Aachen-based company DroidDrive is developing an electrically driven articulated train consisting of trailers that are to swarm out autonomously in the delivery area. A first prototype has now started testing.
