Hamburger Hochbahn orders five H2 buses from Solaris
Public transport provider Hamburger Hochbahn continues electrifying its fleet using fuel cell buses. The transport operator has ordered five units from the Polish manufacturer Solaris. The Solaris Urbino 12 Hydrogen are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2024 and will be used in regular passenger service in Hamburg.

Hamburg orders up to 350 electric buses from MAN & Daimler
Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein (VHH) orders up to 350 new electric buses in one fell swoop for its public transport fleet of almost 700 vehicles. MAN Truck & Bus and Daimler Buses are the winners of the largest electric bus tender in the company’s history.

Hamburg opens Europe’s largest EV-sharing hub
Europe’s largest EV-sharing hub has opened at Hamburg Airport. It is run by the city’s public transit company HVV as part of their multimodal services. There have also been changes to Hamburg’s charge & park policies to utilise available charge points better.

Hamburg orders electric buses from Irizar, MAN & Volvo
Hamburg public transport operator Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein (VHH) has completed the tender for a further 32 electric buses. The contracts were awarded to Irizar, MAN and Volvo. Delivery of the new vehicles is scheduled to begin at the end of 2021.

Daimler delivers 16 electric buses to Hamburg
Public transport operator Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein (VHH) has now taken delivery of its 16 Mercedes-Benz eCitaro electric buses ordered in April 2019. Another four eCitaro solo buses and 17 eCitaro G articulated buses are to be delivered by the end of the year.

VW & Hamburg extend mobility partnership
The three-year strategic mobility partnership between Volkswagen and the City of Hamburg concluded in August 2016 has been extended. The most important news within the framework of the extension is that the WeShare car-sharing service will expand to Hamburg from spring next year.
