Renault expects EV price parity: After Volkswagen and BMW, the French follow suit in their prediction of a drastic decrease in costs for electric vehicles thanks to better battery technology. Renault’s leading EV figure, Gilles Normand, said that the Zoe will reach price parity with small combustion-engined cars by the beginning of the next decade. Already, sales of the little EV have increased by 90 percent between 2016 and 2017. For the C-segment, prices will equalise around 2025, according to Normand.
