Hyundai and Kia electric car line-up in the UK
Hyundai Motor UK has reduced its electric car range prices following changes to the government’s Plug-In Car Grant. This includes both the Kona and Ioniq EV adjusted to meet the requirements, excepting only the top-specced version as too expensive.
Vauxhall Vivaro-e available to order in UK
Opel known as Vauxhall here has officially opened the order books for the electric van Vivaro-e. Customers can reserve the right-hand-drive versions from now on and expect deliveries in October. The zero-emission transporter qualifies for the plug-in van grant.
VW Commercial Vehicles launches electric van in the UK
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched their first fully electric van in the UK. Prices for the battery-electric ABT eTransporter 6.1 start from £42,060 (exc. VAT). As VW is still waiting on approval, the price does not include the Plug-in Van Grant so far.

Uniti One available to order for €17,760 in Sweden & UK
The Swedish electric car startup Uniti has published the price and specifications for its Uniti One compact electric car, which can now be configured and is to be delivered first in Sweden and the UK from mid-2020. The UK base price is 17,760 euros including the plug-in grant.
Renault hits on China with ultra-low price electric car
After Renault presented the series version of its small electric car City K-ZE at Auto Shanghai in April, the market launch in China followed suit and with a drumroll. Renault set a base price of 61,800 yuan, and currently, that converts to just under 7,900 euros.
New battery, old price: updated Renault Zoe
Renault Germany has announced the prices for the recently introduced new edition of the Zoe, which will be available from the end of July. The entry-level version of the little EV will have the same price but a bigger battery.
Low price EV unveiled in India by Strom Motors
Mumbai-based Strom Motors has unveiled a compact electric car designed for Indian cities. Once the Strom R3 will roll into the shops on its three wheels later this year, Indian buyers may get one from 300,000 Rupees – about 3,700 euros.
Strong demand for Hyundai Nexo FCV in Korea
Hyundai has started sales of its Nexo fuel cell electric car in Korea and says it received over 1,000 orders in the first week. With Korea’s high EV subsidies, Hyundai can offer the Nexo for about 25,000 euros in its home market.
