AMG Lithium to build lithium hydroxide plant in Germany

AMG Lithium GmbH, a subsidiary of the Dutch Advanced Metallurgical Group (AMG), has acquired a plot of land in the Bitterfeld-Wolfen Chemical Park. A lithium hydroxide plant is to be built there by 2023, not far from the planned battery plant of Daimler partner Farasis.

FEV to open high-voltage battery testing centre this year

In Germany, the vehicle development service provider FEV will put a development and test centre for high-voltage batteries into operation in the third quarter of this year. The centre will be called eDLP and is located at the company’s site at Sandersdorf-Brehna in the state of Saxony Anhalt.

Farasis to locate battery plant in Saxony-Anhalt

U.S. American battery manufacturer, Farasis Energy, plans to build an electric car battery production plant in Bitterfeld-Wolfen in Saxony-Anhalt. The battery giant wants to invest more than 600 million euros in the new plant with its newly founded subsidiary, Farasis Energy Europe.

Ford Transit converted to hybrid ambulance
