Siemens Autonomous Charging System debuts at IAA

The ‘Siemens Autonomous Charging System’ is debuting in Munich today, and Siemens says the solution allows fully automated charging of electric vehicles from cars to trucks. The prototype now on display has a charging capacity of up to 300 kW, but the company is gearing for one megawatt in future.

Zurich orders Siemens charging for electric buses

In Switzerland, Siemens has been awarded a contract by the Zurich Transport Authority (VBZ) for the supply, installation and commissioning of 45 Sicharge UC charging stations for electric buses. The charging infrastructure will be installed in the Hardau bus garage for 45 new electric buses.

Daimler Trucks partners with CATL, Shell, Siemens, Engie & EVBox

CATL will supply batteries for the production version of the announced Mercedes-Benz eActros LongHaul from 2024 onwards. Daimler’s commercial vehicle division has also entered into its own collaborations with Engie, EVBox, Siemens Smart Infrastructure for EV infrastructure and Shell for fuel cell truck infrastructure.

In the UK, Westminster City Council and Siemens have installed more than 1,000 on-street EV charging points in the City of Westminster, London.
