FTP Industrial opens new electric drive plant
FPT Industrial, the powertrain brand of Iveco parent Iveco, has opened a new electric drive factory in Turin, Italy. At full capacity, it will employ about 200 people to produce more than 20,000 electric axles and battery packs per year.

Iveco to build electric buses in Italy

Micro Mobility Systems starts up final assembly line for Microlino

Fiat cuts down production of the electric 500

Turin orders 100 electric buses from BYD
After the Turin transport operator GTT terminated a contract with the Chinese manufacturer Yutong for the delivery of 100 electric buses, BYD has now received the order. The first 50 of the electric buses have already been firmly ordered from BYD and are to be delivered to Turin in April 2021.

FCA and Engie begin V2G pilot project in Turin
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has launched a joint Vehicle-to-Grid project with Engie EPS at its Mirafiori plant in Turin. In the first phase, 64 bidirectional charging points will be installed, which will grow to include capacity for over 700 electric vehicles in the final stage.

Bolloré to scrap half their Autolib fleet
After the city of Paris decided not to continue the car-sharing program Autolib by Bolloré a month ago, the service was officially shut down on July 31. The 4,000 electrified vehicles will now disappear from Paris’s streets.
