Jaguar Land Rover customers in Germany can now book a charging package for their own home or car park when ordering a fully electric Jaguar I-Pace or a Range Rover with plug-in hybrid drive.
Mennekes will supply the wallbox and provide customer support and Heldele will install the units anywhere in Germany. For the home charger, the Mennekes’ Amtron Xtra 11 C2 comes into play, which has a charging capacity of 11 kW. This version was carefully chosen to not only meet current requirements, but to also equip customers for charging future models, says the German company.
Charging processes with the wallbox can be embedded in a smart house installation using an app. The app can be used, for example, to call up charge status and remaining charge time, or to actively define different modes, time windows or power quantities. If you have solar power, you can use it to charge the vehicle directly, according to the manufacturer.
This is not the first time that Jaguar Land Rover and Mennekes have joined forces. In summer this year, the British company already commissioned the German charging infrastructure specialist to install wallboxes in 80 JLR branches in Italy (we reported).
