Smart releases Bluedawn special EQ Fortwo Coupé

Smart is releasing a special model of the EQ Fortwo Coupé to dealers during the second quarter of 2021. The special model called Edition Bluedawn is painted in a striking matt blue that Daimler calls ‘Velvet Blue’.

The Edition Bluedawn also features Brabus wheels and body attachments that come in either in matt blue or glossy black. The Smart’s typical two-tone paint finish is different on the special model since the body panels, and the safety cell are painted in Velvet Blue. But the two-tone paint finish is not completely lost: the black high-gloss accents are found, for example, on the rims, front spoiler, radiator grille and the suggested rear diffuser. In the interior, the special model features the Brabus gearshift knob. The Edition Bluedawn lettering is also embroidered into the Brabus floor mats.

The Smart electric car remains unchanged in terms of technology. The electric motor mounted in the rear still produces 60 kW, while the battery keeps a capacity of 17.6 kWh. The charging system with the standard 4.6 kW AC charger also remains the same, the optional 22 kW AC charger costs 990 euros.

In Germany, for example, the Edition Bluedawn for the Smart EQ Fortwo Coupé, which can already be ordered, starts at 28,920 euros for the ‘Pulse’ trim. Alternatively, the special model is also available as ‘Prime’, where German prices start at 29,229.99 euros. Besides Germany, the new special model will also be available in Italy, Spain, the UK, Benelux, Portugal, France, Switzerland and Hungary.
