On the “Arena del Futuro”, a test track for inductive charging in motion, Stellantis, Iveco and the other project partners have made important progress. Based on the initial results, Stellantis says DWPT (Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer) technology may “power our electrified future”.
Moreno Valley electrifies school buses
In California, USA, 42 electric school buses and an EV charging infrastructure will be deployed with a project from InCharge Energy, Creative Bus Sales and IC Bus. The project has now been approved by the Moreno Valley Unified School District (MVUSD).
ABB to provide charging for Basel buses
In Switzerland, Industriellen Werke Basel (IWB) has placed a major order with ABB who is to supply both the necessary electrification and charging solutions for the conversion of the bus fleet to electric drives.
ABB to charge Yutong buses in Qatar
The first 10 buses from the extraordinary order of 741 Yutong zero-emission buses have arrived in Qatar. The buses will be provided with charging infrastructure from Swiss-Swedish company ABB.
ElectReon plans inductive test road in Italy
ElectReon Wireless, an Israeli company specialising in inductive charging of electric vehicles, will provide its technology to charge two Stellantis vehicles and an Iveco bus while driving in Brescia, Italy, as part of the Arena of the Future project.

ABB has officially entered into a charging infrastructure partnership with Lion Electric. ABB will make its complete portfolio of charging solutions available to the Canadian electric commercial vehicle manufacturer for distribution in North America under the new Lion Energy division.
22 articulated electric buses to grace Nantes
The Nantes Métropole association of municipalities is starting to integrate electric buses into its TAN network. By November, all 22 electric buses on line 4 will be in operation. The 24-metre-long articulated buses in tram design come from the Swiss manufacturer Hess.
Volvo electric buses ordered across Europe
The Dutch city of Leiden has put five Volvo electric buses into operation on their roads, which are part of an order from last year for 23 electric buses by the public transport operator Arriva. The Birmingham Airport has also ordered six of the Volvo 7900 Electric buses.
