Peugeot to boost e-308 range to up to 400 km
Although the announced Peugeot e-308 will not be on the market until next year, there are now first reports on the technical data of the compact electric car. These differ slightly from the known data – probably also for the sister model Opel Astra-e.
New Astra to release as an estate & includes PHEV variant
Opel/Vauxhall has now also shown the estate version of the hybrid Astra after launching the five-door version of the new Astra first. The Astra Sports Tourer will also be available as a plug-in hybrid right from the start, with a battery-electric version reportedly coming in 2023.
Futuricum’s specialised e-trucks now on roads
Four Swiss partners have joined forces to convert and operate two Futuricum electric trucks into special vehicles. The two examples feature an additional length of one metre, an increase of the payload by two tonnes and the expansion of the battery capacity to 900 kWh.
Opel to release the Astra as a BEV
Opel will also offer the new Astra as a purely electric model from 2023. The manufacturer has now announced this at the official presentation of the sixth generation of the model. Before the launch as a BEV, plug-in hybrids in two performance levels are available for the new Astra.

Opel has presented the sixth Astra generation, which will also be offered as a plug-in hybrid in two performance levels from the start. The new Opel Astra will be available to order from autumn and roll out to the first customers from early 2022.
Opel reveals first details to electrified Astra
Opel has provided a first preview of the new generation of the Astra, which will be electrified for the first time and is scheduled to start production at the Rüsselsheim plant later this year. The new Opel Astra will be offered as a five-door model as well as a Sports Tourer estate version.
Opel to build an Astra PHEV
The next generation of the Opel Astra will be produced from 2021 in two European plants, including the brand’s traditional home of Rüsselsheim in Germany. PSA, the works council and IG Metall have agreed on the plan. It is also possible that an electrified version will be built at the Rüsselheim plant.
