Roaming partnership takes off in UK & Scandinavia
A number of charging infrastructure providers have signed a Memorandum of Understanding announcing that they will open their charging networks in the UK by the end of 2019 as part of a roaming partnership. A similar agreement has also been signed for Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
Microsoft EVs in Shiphol now charge intelligently
Microsoft’s Dutch headquarters “The Outlook” in the Schiphol Central Business District is now capable of operating 40 charging stations for electric vehicles with an infrastructure that was originally designed for only 17 charging stations thanks to intelligent energy management.
EVBox joins EEBUS for interoperability in IoT
EVBox recently joined the EEBUS Initiative e.V. and has started to integrate the EEBUS specifications into all future products. This includes wall boxes for private homes as well as public and commercial charging stations.
Hungary: Spar invests in charging infrastructure
The food retail chain SPAR has announced that they will begin building EV charging infrastructure across their 500 locations through the country. The first installation was done by NKM, who installed 66 EVBox charge points at 17 high traffic locations in the country.

EVBox & ChargePoint declare roaming agreement
EVBox and ChargePoint say they agreed on a roaming partnership that will allow their customers to freely charge in Europe and North America starting in 2019. The agreement utilises the Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI) protocol.
3.5 million new EV charge points by EVBox & ChargePoint
EVBox and ChargePoint announced they would install some 3.5 million EV charging points between them by 2025. For both companies, this means a huge increase of their networks and for ChargePoint, the pledge is part of the ZEV Challenge by the C40 Cities and Climate Group.

Good news reach us from the Dutch town of Delft where EVBox and City AED cooperate to offer defibrillators at EV charging stations. The life-savers do not depend on the charge column directly and a first installation demonstrates the principle.
EVBox buy French fast-charging provider EVTronic
EVBox announces the acquisition of French fast and ultra-fast charging station manufacturer EVTronic. With this acquisition, EVBox grows their global base to 60,000 installed charging points, including 700 fast charging (DC) stations.
EvBox and IBC Solar team to charge EVs with solar power
EVBox has entered into a strategic partnership with IBC Solar, a German photovoltaics and energy storage producer. EVBox will deliver IBC Solar with EV charging stations so that they can be integrated into the existing system of photovoltaics and energy storage.
EVBox: 50,000 charging points.
EVBox counts 50,000 installed charging points worldwide, with the milestone station having been installed in Los Angeles. EVBox charging equipment can be found in 30 countries and the company has reached that far in just 7 years.
Petrol shortage, EVBox, events.
Click tip: Renault and Citroën are making the best of the fuel shortage in France with slogans like “We might not have petrol, but we do have the Zoe.” And EV drivers offered rides to people who were stranded because they could not fuel their car. There is no shortage of energy, after all.
