China publishes wireless charging standard GB/T 38775
China has set a national standard for wireless charging of electric vehicles based on WiTricity technology. The inductive charging specialist has worked closely with the GB standards committee on several technical issues, including efforts for harmonisation.

CHAdeMO 3.0 supports charging with “over 500 kW”
The CHAdeMO Association has presented the new CHAdeMO 3.0 protocol, which was jointly developed with the China Electricity Council (CEC). According to the organisation, the charging standard will enable DC charging with a capacity of “over 500 kW”.

Electro.Aero presents DC charging for electric aircraft
The Australian company Electro.Aero has developed a DC charging solution especially for electric aircraft. The portable Electro.Aero Charger Rapid 30 delivers a charging power of up to 30 kW. The first customer is the US aircraft company Ampaire.

New CHAdeMO and CEC charging connection revealed
The first images have been released of the new standard charging plug jointly developed by the China Electricity Council (CEC) and the CHAdeMO Association. The new charging standard ChaoJi should enable outputs of up to 900 kW.

Japan and China team up for high power chargers
China and Japan have announced plans to cooperate on developing a new charging standard for ultra-fast vehicle chargers with more than 500 kW. A statement of intent will be signed by the CHAdeMO association and the China Electricity Council (CEC) in August.

China aims for 900 kW hyper power charging standard
China is planning an upgrade of its fast-charging standards GB/T that would make the 350 kW CCS or the 400 kW ChaDeMo aims for look like child’s play. The new GB/T standard due in 2019/20 would enable charging with four times higher power than today.
