Geely presents product strategy up to 2025
Geely has unveiled its ‘Smart Geely 2025’ strategic plan. Under the plan, the Chinese car company aims to achieve annual sales of 3.65 million vehicles under the Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, Geometry and Zeekr brands by 2025. Geely has also launched a new global hybrid powertrain brand.
Geometry presents the EX3 with competitive pricing
Geely’s electric car subsidiary Geometry presents its most affordable model to date, the EX3. According to its “estimated pre-sale price”, the five-seat compact electric car will cost 59,700 yuan, around 7,900 euros. The EX3 is already available for pre-order in China, and will be introduced in other markets later.
Geely shows off new BEV & PHEV models for China
Geely presented a new SUV model based on the CMA platform at the Shanghai Auto Show. The Xingyue L will also get an electrified version later. There is also a new BEV version of the ‘Geometry A’ and a plug-in hybrid from Lynk & Co.
Geely considers launching dedicated EV subsidiary
The Chinese car manufacturer Geely reportedly wants to spin off product planning, marketing and sales of electric vehicles into an independent company. The subsidiary Lingling Technologies, which is yet to be founded, is to be primarily concerned with development, marketing and sales.
Geely subsidiary Geometry presents first BEV
Geely has introduced its first fully electric car brand, named Geometry, alongside its first model Geometry A. By the year 2025, ten electric models will be launched under the new brand in several segments, including sedans, SUVs and vans.
