NL: Ebusco receives order over 63 e-buses from QBuzz

In the Netherlands, the electric bus manufacturer Ebusco has received an order for up to 63 e-buses from the public transport operator Qbuzz. The deal comprises the latest Ebusco 3.0 model. The buses will be used in the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe from 2024.

Hyzon starts production of 15 FCEVs for Groningen

The US manufacturer Hyzon Motors has started production of 15 FC vehicles for delivery to the Dutch city of Groningen. The delivery of the first vehicles is planned for the third quarter of 2021. The remaining vehicles are to follow by the end of the year.

ViriCiti introduces smart charging for Qbuzz

The telematics specialist ViriCiti is introducing a smart charging solution for 163 electric bus charging points on behalf of the Dutch public transport operator Qbuzz. The smart charging function provided via the cloud will initially be implemented for Heliox chargers, with ABB chargers to follow shortly.

Groningen to electrify city fleet

The Dutch municipality of Groningen plans to replace its 128 service vehicles with electric vehicles by 2025. The city will also install 74 smart-charging stations municipal buildings and is planning to build 350 more public charging stations in Groningen in the coming years.

EU project REVIVE: fuel cell systems for garbage trucks

As part of the EU-funded project REVIVE (Refuse Vehicle Innovation and Validation in Europe), a fleet of 15 electric vehicles for refuse collection is to be built and put into operation by 2021. The trucks will have a fuel cell system to increase the range.

ABB has installed more than 100 electric bus rapid charging stations for public transport operator Qbuzz in the Netherlands. Most of these are cabled charging stations in depots, but there are also a few pantograph fast chargers.

In the Netherlands Qbuzz orders 160 electric buses

Qbuzz, the public transport operator in the Dutch provinces of Groningen and Drente, have ordered no less than 160 electric buses. 60 should come from Ebusco, 45 from VDL and 55 from Heuliez. The buses should be in service from mid-December.
