Daimler finds buyer for Hambach factory
The Daimler Group has now officially confirmed that its plant in Hambach, France, is to be sold to Ineos. The British group will take over the plant in the coming weeks after final details have been clarified. A solution has been found for the production of the electric Smart.

Daimler plans to sell its plant in Hambach, France, where they build the Smart electric vehicles. In 2018, Daimler had announced that the factory would also make a compact model of the electric car brand EQ, presumably the EQB.

Mercedes offers a glimpse of the EQA
