Australia co-funds charging and H2 infrastructure
The Australian government has launched the second round of its Future Fuels Fund. The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) will provide $127.9 million to encourage fleet operators to integrate battery and hydrogen vehicles into their fleets by co-financing charging facilities and H2 refuelling stations.
Victoria supports H2 transport infrastructure pilots
In the Australian state of Victoria, the government has backed studies and trials for the use of green hydrogen (made from renewables) for use in heavy transport. The funding of 7 million Australian dollars (4.43 million euros) should help support refuelling stations and the development of fuel cell electric buses among other things.
Hydrogen fuel cell aircraft takes off in Stuttgart
The latest generation of the world’s first four-seater hydrogen fuel cell aircraft, the Hy4, has now been unveiled at Stuttgart Airport. The latest generation of the Hy4’s propulsion system recently received test flight permission, which means that the model can now take off at Stuttgart Airport.
