MagniX presents two aviation propulsion units
The US company MagniX, specializing in electric propulsion systems for aircraft, is presenting two flight-optimized electric propulsion units. These are the magni350 and magni650 propulsion units with a power output of 350 kW and 650 kW, respectively.
Magnix working towards all-electric Cessna Caravan STC
Magnix, a specialist for aeroplane electrification, is working with Sidney Seaplanes and Dante Aeronautical to convert a Cessna to zero-emission drive. The partners want it to become the first all-electric aircraft certified by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

The US specialist for electric aircraft drives MagniX has entered into a partnership with the company Universal Hydrogen. Universal Hydrogen is developing a conversion kit for the propulsion system to install in a 40-seater aircraft.
Largest electric airplane yet takes off in the USA
The companies magniX and AeroTEC have announced the successful maiden flight of the alleged world’s largest all-electric aircraft, an all-electric Cessna Grand Caravan 208B. The half-hour flight in the US state of Washington went without a hitch.
Harbour Air plans electrified seaplane
MagniX, a company specializing in electric aircraft propulsion, and North America’s largest seaplane carrier Harbour Air are cooperating to successively electrify all 42 of Harbour Air’s seaplanes. The 560 kW magni500 electric motor will be used.
