Mercedes-Benz opens software integration plant in Sindelfingen
Mercedes-Benz has put its so-called Electric Software Hub into operation at the Mercedes Technology Center (MTC) in Sindelfingen. Numerous software, hardware, system integration and testing functions are located there under one roof. The company has invested more than 200 million euros in the centre.

Mercedes begins series production of the EQS
Production of the EQS electric saloon has now started in Factory 56 at the Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen plant in Germany. The new S-Class, its long-wheelbase version and the Maybach variant of the S-Class are already built at the plant.

Mercedes reveals production locations for EQ ramp up
Mercedes-Benz is now providing a comprehensive overview of the production sites for its electric offensive for the EQ brand. Production of the EQA at the Rastatt plant in Germany among others has already started ahead of the model’s world premiere on 20 January 2021.

Daimler breaks ground for new EQ facility
Mercedes-Benz has broken ground in Sindelfingen for the construction of the so-called Factory 56. Daimler praises the facility to become the “most modern” and wants to build electric cars as well as robo taxis here from 2020.
