BMW to build next-gen e-drive in Austria
BMW has just announced that it will also develop and produce the next generation of electric drives at its engine plant in Steyr, Upper Austria, from 2025. The plant will be converted to produce 600,000 e-drives per year.
BMW factory in Steyr to deliver iX3 drive housing
The BMW plant in the Austrian town of Steyr produces all the housings for the electric drive for the BMW iX3. By 2025, the company want to increase annual production capacity to 460,000 units, given an indication of its hopes for next-gen vehicles.
