BYD to build 20 GWh battery plant in China

BYD is further expanding its battery production capacities in China with a new plant in Wenzhou in Zhejiang province. The new factory will have an annual capacity of 20 gigawatt-hours and is scheduled to start production in 2024.

Sunwoda to build another 50 GWh battary factory in China

Chinese battery manufacturer Sunwoda Electric Vehicle Battery is pushing hard to build new production facilities. According to a stock exchange release, Sunwoda will build a new factory with an annual capacity of 50 GWh in the city of Yiwu in the Chinese province of Zhejiang.

BYD subsidiary FinDreams opens battery factory in China

BYD and its subsidiary FinDreams Battery have opened the first production line of its battery factory in Shaoxing in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang. The blade batteries produced there will be used in future BYD models with the DM-i PHEV drive.

Nidec to double China production capacity

Japanese electric motor manufacturer Nidec plans to double its production capacity in China. In addition to a factory under construction in Zhejiang Province, Nidec will invest 20 to 30 billion yen (160 to 240 million euros) in the construction of a second production facility for traction motors.

China: Leap Motor receives 2 billion Yuan capital
