The Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric will be delivered in the first half of 2026. The 15-metre electric buses were first introduced in early 2020 and are designed especially for Scandinavian countries, as the demand there is high for that size vehicle. In other countries and regions, 12- and 18-metre versions are more common.

The electric buses are fitted with Solaris High Energy batteries and typically has room for up to 72 passengers. The heart of the Urbino 15 LE electric is the liquid-cooled electric central engine CeTrax from ZF with an output of 300 kW.

In 2024, Solaris already received an order from Nobia for 55 electric buses for Stockholm and for 88 electric buses for the Skåne region.

“Delivering yet another substantial batch of our 15-meter fully electric buses, proofs that Nobina’s continued trust in our organization and the quality of our products,” said Solaris CEO Sverre Skaar. “This partnership underscores our commitment to providing sustainable and reliable transportation solutions, and we look forward to further strengthening our relationship with the operator and contributing to greener urban mobility.”
