Audi brings electric concept SUV to Geneva

Audi’s planned all-electric compact SUV based on MEB will be presented on 5 March at the Geneva Motor Show as a near-series study. The still nameless Audi BEV will roll off the production line starting in 2021, as will the VW ID. and a compact electric car from Seat at the Zwickau plant.

New Zoe generation to feature 95kW and 400km range

The newest generation of the Renault Zoe is due to be launched in September 2019. Official information is still scarce, but it is now leaked that the updated battery electric vehicle will offer an increased output of around 95 kW and an improved range of 400 kilometres (WLTP).

Number of plug-in cars climbs to 5.6M worldwide

The number of plug-in electric vehicles worldwide rose to 5.6 million worldwide at the beginning of 2019, which includes passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with battery-electric drive, range extender and plug-in hybrids. This is an increase of 64 per cent YOY.

Tesla cuts staff for North American deliveries
