German Enercon opens first 350 kW HPC charger

Tesla Supercharger rates rise suddenly in the USA
There’s been a sudden price hike at Supercharger stations across the USA. Rates doubled in some regions while in other states, tariffs increased by 20 to 40%. Tesla insists that the network “will never be a profit center” for the company.

150 kW fast-charging without cooled cables by EVTEC
This is the new cool as EVTEC announces the premier of its charging cable that can hold currents of 150 kW without liquid cooling. A pilot has been flowing since January 2018 and Swiss GOFast will be the first operator to use the cable.

Asia’s charging standard CHAdeMO is working to up its game as the next protocol is to enable high power charging at 400 kW. For now, the latest protocol 1.2 enables 200 kW but it looks as if they are ready to go head to head with CCS.

Porsche to supply US dealerships with HPC fast-chargers
Looking to the market launch of its new Mission E next year, Porsche is planning to supply all of its 189 dealerships in the USA with 800-V fast-charging stations. They will be able to fully charge the vehicles for a 400 km range within 20 minutes.

Hubject integrates charging network of département Yonne
Hubject has entered into a cooperation with SPIE CityNetworks and ‘Syndicat Départemental d’Énergies’ of the district Yonne (SDEY) to integrate their EV charging offerings. SDEY’s and SPIE’s charging stations may now be used by anybody signed up to Hubject’s intercharge.

London’s Wandsworth to install EV charging at lampposts
The London borough of Wandsworth has decided to install 700 charge points. The solution uses existing street furniture as the chargers will be installed in lampposts. For half of them, residents driving an electric car may apply for the chargers to be close to their homes.

Tesla has further expanded their charging network in China. Now it covers most cities in the Jangtse Delta, the Pearl River Delta, the Region Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Region Chengdu-Chongqing. Also three of the largest charging parks belonging to Tesla are on Chinese soil.Â

ABB to provide 200 EV fast chargers to Philippines
