Peugeot intends to replace its discontinued GTi performance line with a whole family of sporty models with electric and hybrid drives, then designated PSE (Peugeot Sport Engineered). The first PSE model will be the Peugeot 508 plug-in hybrid PSE.

Six months free charging for UK Peugeot customers
Peugeot has announced that a free six-month subscription to the Polar Plus charging network will be included with each new electric or plug-in hybrid car sold. This coincides with the launch of their new hybrid vehicle range and their first fully electric vehicle on the UK market.

Peugeot is planning electrified 308 variant
Peugeot will also electrify the new 308. As CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato revealed in an interview, the French carmaker is planning to launch a plug-in hybrid version, while a purely electric version could follow later. Peugeot also wants to become increasingly electric with other models.

UK: Peugeot opens books for four new hybrid cars
Peugeot UK has opened reservations for four new plug-in hybrid models; two hybrid versions of the 3008 and two versions of the 508 series. Customers may now place their reservations online with a £500 deposit.

New Peugeot 508 to be additionally released as PHEV
Peugeot just allowed a preview of the new 508 due to premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. The new edition is based on the corporate EMP2 platform and will be available for purchase by autumn. A plug-in hybrid version is scheduled to follow no sooner than by late 2019.
