Renault doubles EV sales in Europe
Renault has presented its electric car sales statistics for 2020. According to the figures, the French automaker was able to sell 115,888 electric vehicles in Europe, around twice as many as in 2019. The company’s most successful electric model by far was, once again, the Renault Zoe.
Renault Captur PHEV now on sale in the UK
Renault releases the Captur E-TECH plug-in hybrid in the UK. Priced from £30,995 in the S Edition, the PHEV version of the best-selling Captur range is available with immediate effect. A hybrid powertrain will follow in 2021.
Renault Twingo Z.E to debut this year
Renault is planning to launch the all-electric Twingo Z.E. before the end of this year, two years earlier than was speculated. The French manufacturer also announced the new hybrid models and its sales figures for 2019.
PHEV version of Renault Captur available in 2020
Renault has just presented the second generation of the Captur, which will be launched at the turn of the year and will be supplemented by a plug-in hybrid version in 2020. This will be Renault’s first plug-in hybrid, with other models to follow soon.
New hybrid systems E-TECH & E-TECH Plug-in by Renault
At the Geneva Motor Show, Renault will present the E-TECH modular hybrid system in the new Clio, which combines an internal combustion engine with two electric motors and a small 1.2 kWh battery and was designed to cover up to 80% of urban traffic with electricity.
