GoTo Global takes over Emmy
The Israeli company GoTo Global Mobility is taking over the Berlin-based electric scooter sharer Emmy. The acquisition is meant to expand GoTo Global’s European presence to reach its goal of expanding to every major European city by 2025.

Onto raises €148Mn to expand EV subscription service
UK electric car subscription service Onto says it has raised 175 million dollars in a new financing round. Alfvén & Didrikson and Pollen Street Capital led the Series B funding round, with the most prominent investor being TotalEnergies. The investment follows Onto’s significant growth in recent months.

Daimler & BMW write-off Free Now scooter brand Hive
BMW and Daimler’s mobility provider Free Now appears to have discontinued its e-scooter brand Hive without much ado at the end of last year. Free Now was to save high investments in hardware and logistics due when operating a scooter fleet.

British EV subscription service Onto continues on building the fleet as the company adds Hyundai electric cars to the fleet. They join a base of electric vehicles from PSA but also Tesla, BMW and Jaguar.

Toyota invests in May Mobility e-shuttle start-up
Toyota has just led May Mobility’s B round financing totalling $50M, which also included BMW iVentures. The financing should allow the Michigan-based startup to expand every aspect of the company and its autonomous electric shuttle fleet.
