Ebusco delivers electric buses in Germany & Denmark
In the last week, the Dutch electric bus company Ebusco delivered a total of 25 electric buses to Transdev in Frankfurt and to Nobina in Copenhagen. Another two electric buses were handed over to Stadtwerke München, while a large order has been confirmed in Berlin.

Daimler recalls eCitaro buses with solid-state batteries
There are issues with the solid-state battery buses Daimler delivered to the city of Wiesbaden in February. The 21 Mercedes-Benz eCitaros have been out of service for a good two weeks as their batteries are undergoing checks due to an insulation fault that could lead to short circuits.

The Polish supplier Ekoenergetyka-Polska announces a new major order from Munich. The Munich public transport operator Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft has ordered 56 charging stations for a brand new bus depot.

Germany: kick-scooters now legal and set to multiply
Kick-scooters and similar LEVs are now road-legal in Germany with the official publication of the “Ordinance on the Participation of Small Electric Vehicles in Road Traffic”. Large scale rollouts are underway in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.

40 electric buses headed for Munich
Munich’s utility Stadtwerke München (SWM) announced to procure 40 electric buses for the city’s transit operator MVG. An order has been placed with Ebusco, a Dutch company specialising in electric buses and the first six are to arrive next year.

Munich buys 40 new electric buses
The Bavarian capital has announced plans that the city is purchasing 40 electric buses for the Munich transport authority (MVG) to use in public transport. The first step will see 8 buses to create the first all-electric public transport line in the city.

10m euros to build 350 charging stations in Munich
The economic committee of Munich wants the city’s main utility to install another 350 EV charging stations until the end of 2019. They calculate the network’s expansion to cost 10 million euros and also want to see if there is interest from the private sector to take it even further.
