Audi considers opening extra plant for the Q4 e-tron
According to a media report, Audi wants to build its Q4 e-tron electric SUV, which is produced in Zwickau, in Brussels from November 2022 due to high demand. The final decision will be made at the VW planning meeting on 9 December.

Audi is setting up a battery competence centre in Germany
Audi is setting up a centre of excellence for the development of batteries for future electric cars at its Neckarsulm plant. A battery technical centre is to go into operation by 2023 at the latest, where prototypes for new batteries will be researched and tested.

Audi launches serial production of e-tron GT
Audi has announced that it will start series production of the e-tron GT at its Neckarsulm site “in the next few days”. This will be the most powerful electric model built by Audi so far and is to be built at the Böllinger Höfe site in Neckarsulm with a CO2-neutral balance sheet.

Audi lends staff to Porsche to ramp up Taycan production
Porsche can hardly keep up with production due to the high demand for the Taycan electric luxury car, so reinforcements are coming from the group’s sister company, Audi. 400 employees from Neckarsulm are moving to Zuffenhausen for two years to help out.

Audi to install 4,500 charge points at its plants
Audi wants to invest around 100 million euros in charging infrastructure to install at its own sites and is planning more than 4,500 charging points, most of which will also be publicly accessible. The majority will stand at Audi’s German plants with some at other locations as well.
