BP buys into Digital Charging Solutions
Alongside the BMW Group and Daimler Mobility AG, BP will become the third shareholder in the charging infrastructure provider Digital Charging Solutions GmbH (DCS) with a share of 33.3 per cent. DCS will also offer combined charging and refuelling solutions through the partnership with the mineral oil company in the future.
Polar & BP Chargemaster reorganise under new brand
Polar and BP Chargemaster have officially rebranded their charging business under the banner ‘bp pulse’. This now includes both bp Chargemaster and Polar, who have combined their networks. Further, a deal was inked with Freewire technologies.
BP Chargemaster chosen as Mercedes partner in UK
The Mercedes Benz electric car charging service in the UK is now hooked up with BP Chargemaster’s Polar network. This gives British customers access to the network on a single subscription. BP Chargemaster will also install private and business charging points for Mercedes customers.
Lancashire to build 150 new charging points
A project to install 150 on-street charging points in Lancashire, in partnership between BP Chargemaster and Lancashire County Council, is nearing completion and reached a milestone this week with the opening of a new charging ‘super hub’.
BP Chargemaster presents new 150 kW charger
By 2021, BP Chargemaster plans to have 400 rapid charging stations in the United Kingdom. The company has also introduced a new 150 kW high power charger. By the end of the year, 100 of the new charging stations should already be in use.
UK: BP Chargemaster open large rapid-charge hub
BP Chargemaster and its network arm Polar have opened what they claim to be Britain’s biggest rapid-charge hub in Milton Keynes. Up to eight electric vehicles can charge with up to 50 kW at the multi-standard stations. The set-up uses existing facilities.
BP buys Britain’s POLAR charging network
BP will buy one of the UK’s largest EV charging providers. Chargemaster runs aboout 6,500 stations in their Polar network. They did not disclose any details but the new company will be called BP Chargemaster and plans on setting up more fast-charging stations at pit stops.
